Budget friendly. MBRP’s entry level resonator delete X-pipes are constructed from aluminized steel to provide the same horsepower and sound as their stainless steel equivalents. If you don’t live in the snow belt or only drive your S550 on dry unsalted roads, this can be a cost effective mod.
Modern exotic tone. MBRP’s “X” configuration mid-pipe will give your Coyote powered car a higher pitch, slightly raspy tone at WOT with a moderate increase in volume. Unlike the traditional deep mean muscle car growl an H-pipe produces, an X-pipe will produce a more European sounding angry scream in the higher RPM ranges and is popular with many late model Mustang enthusiasts.
Top end power. Replacing the factory suitcase style unit will yield more power at higher engine speeds with minimal to no power loss off idle. Replacement of the factory unit will also shed a few pounds further improving your cars power to weight ratio.
Easy install. The average shade tree mechanic can install an X-pipe at home with a jack, basic tools and a reciprocating saw or a loaner tail pipe cutter from your local parts store.
